PLEASE NOTE:  We will be holding recruitment open days on Saturday 10th, Sunday 11th and Monday the 12th of August at our White + Wong’s Auckland Viaduct location, 149 Quay Street, Auckland Central, from 10am to 4pm.


We are looking for superstars to fill the following roles


Experienced Waiters


  • Superior food and wine knowledge and an edge when it comes to serving guests
  • Highly skilled in time management & suggestive selling
  • Cope well under pressure
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in high end venues
  • Minimum commitment of 6 months


Experienced Bartenders


  • At least 1 years of general bartending
  • Cocktail bartending experience ideal
  • General Managers Cert / LCQ highly regarded
  • High level of personal presentation
  • Minimum commitment of 6 months
  • Personality plus!




As an Expeditor your responsibility is to ensure all kitchen orders are prepared in a timely manner and according to menu and customer specifications. You also finalise the presentation of the plate and ensure that orders flow from the kitchen to the diners via the food runners and wait staff.


  • Minimum level of experience of 3 years in hospitality
  • Can work well under pressure
  • Perfected communication skills
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Flexibility
  • Staff management skills
  • Minimum commitment of 6 months


Food Runners


This is a fantastic entry level position to get your foot in the door to a high-end, highly regarded restaurant.  The primary role of this position is to ensure all food is delivered to the customer in a knowledgeable and timely manner, and also to assist the team in shift preparation.


  • Must be able to carry 3 plates and drinks trays confidently
  • Can work well under pressure
  • Possibility for further training to become a junior waiter or bartender
  • Minimum commitment of 3 months


Sous Chefs


  • At least 3 years' experience in a senior kitchen role
  • The ability to work calmly when under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work on all sections


Chef De Parties


  • A minimum of 2 years proven experience working in a professional kitchen
  • Be comfortable working under pressure
  • Cooking to a consistently high standard
